幼少期からパソコンに触れる機会があり、「仕組みや原理を知りたい」という探究心から、分解したり、自作のアプリケーションを作成したりしていました。
大学でも、ハードウェアをより深く理解したいと思っていたので、電気電子系に進学することになりました。
Since childhood, I have had many opportunities to interact with computers. Driven by an inquisitive desire to understand how they work, I spent time taking them apart and building my own applications.
In university, I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of hardware, which naturally led me to major in electrical and electronic engineering.
電気電子系の中で、間邊研究室のようなIT系の研究室は珍しかったので、配属先を探す中で目に止まりました。自分がこれまで実践してきたLinuxやコーディングの知識を活かしつつ、ハードウェアも触ることができるというポイントは魅力的でした。
また、他の研究室は材料系や半導体、太陽電池など、原理を追求していく研究をしていますが、当研究室のような、研究を通して直接的に社会課題を解決する、というポイントも、自分の価値観に一致するところがありました。
Within the electrical and electronic department, an IT-focused lab like the Manabe Lab is quite rare, which caught my attention when I was searching for a lab assignment. The ability to utilize the Linux and coding skills I had cultivated, while also getting hands-on with hardware, was highly appealing to me.
Furthermore, while many other labs focus on pursuing fundamental principles like materials, semiconductors, or solar cells, this lab aims to directly solve social issues through its research. This practical approach perfectly aligns with my personal values.
